Leaving in a few minutes to go to Flora's house and listen to her new words- while Emily goes out in the world to find last minute Christmas joy.

Hilarious choice of painting, orphans though you may be! Poor baby with nothing on her head...perhaps a little cap to keep her warm? Those "birth marks" on her head must make her sad sad sad. Love the dress and shawl. Oh and the enamel meatball terrine - how beautiful!

I've been thinking about your little new-old baby. I love the dress. I just put Dorothy Anne's sweater, cap, and booties on her. It is getting chilly! She seems much cozier now. She sends her thanks.
Getting cool in Florida? As cool as our hottest summer day? Glad that everyone has enough to wear to be cosy. Dorothy Anne must stay warm enough to take care of the cat. And her little sister- oh the responsibilities of the oldest child!

ReplyDeleteThe gold dressed orphan has such a feeling off movement in her stance. I love how she posed. That meat ball vessel was quite the find. I have never lived anywhere with decent thrift shops. It's very aggravating.
